Now in Japan :)

Tue Oct 13, 2009, 1:56 AM
Hey everyone :)

Thank you for leaving messages in previous journal.
Moving back was so hectic I did not have a chance to reply every one of you... I am so--- sorry.

It took me a while to get internet access and finally got it today.
Without internet.... I find I can not do anything.
Why there is no free WI-FI point around here?! Well....maybe I just do not know this area enough yet.

===== BELOW IS MY BLAH BLAH.... U CAN SKIP =======

First thing I did was to get a cell phone. Japanese people use cell phone so much, i-phone is getting popular little by little, but seems not as popular as US. Texting Japanese with cell phone takes forever for me! My new cell phone is not i-phone, but shiny and pretty and I am very happy about it!

Next funny thing is I went to career fair at AKIHABARA. (YES! CITY OF ANIME!) and made friends with two people at the career convention. One is American guy who is teaching English in Tokyo. He has lived in Japan since 10 years old.... and knows AKIHABARA way better than me. So funny..... Another guy is from France but speaks both Japanese and English very well. He taught me where and how I can get chargeable train pass card. He knows where to get good coffee and doughnuts in AKIHABARA. It is kinda funny... I am learning about Japan from foreigners.

Typhoon came the other day too. All the public transportation stopped. No car and with the heavy wind/rain... staying home was the best choice. Many school got cancelled. Something I do not see in California life. (Ah---I miss that nice sunny weather!)

Another finding is humidity here is so high, got a lot of mosquito bytes. - And all the TV channel covering "Health, Beauty, Diet" alot. No wonder all the Japanese girls are so skinny and look younger than they are.

============================================================

Ok, my blah blah should continue in some other time.
I am missing my favorite JASMINE MILK TAPIOCA TEA!!!

Hi Sayaka,

Don't worry LA and Japan are still fighting each other for your favor. You are just caught in the middle. You will come out on top master of them both!

I am still new to the Devient life. You are missed here. I think it was the fact that you were sort of close, but now you are so far away! I wish we could have spent a little more time together.

I am teaming up with Miss Joe to teach 3D and computer graphics at her new studio (studio Sinaloa). I hope I can capture some of the magic of the early Montecito days. The only thing we are missing is you.

I am moving forward with my own Graphic novel. Mostly laid out and penciled. I am inking and coloring and finalizing text for the first issue. It's a lot of work. We'll see how it goes once I get it a little more finished.

Keep the faith, you are a wonderful artist and the coolest person I know. Don't take no for an answer and keep pushing. I hope you come back to LA soon (If you don't I may have to invade Japan looking for you).

Warmest regards,

Michael
